TERMS & CONDITIONS

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

PRODUCTS AND HANDMADE CHARACTER

Maria Urquiola creates and sells interior objects and decorative pieces. Product descriptions, dimensions, materials and estimated preparation times are shown on each product page.

Each ceramic piece is handcrafted and individually glazed. Subtle variations in shape, colour, surface and finish are inherent to the process and form part of the piece’s character. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings. These natural variations are not considered defects unless the product does not conform to the description or intended use.

PRICES AND TAXES

Prices are displayed in the currency selected for the relevant market and include applicable taxes where required. Shipping charges and any other applicable costs are shown before the order is confirmed. Prices may be changed at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.

ORDERING AND CONTRACT FORMATION

By placing an order, the customer confirms that the information provided is complete and accurate and accepts these Terms & Conditions. Orders are subject to product availability and payment authorisation. After an order is placed, the customer will receive an electronic confirmation. Maria Urquiola may contact the customer if additional information is required to prepare or deliver the order.

PAYMENT

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely through Shopify and the payment provider selected by the customer. Maria Urquiola does not receive or store complete card details. Further information is available on the Payment page.

SHIPPING, RETURNS AND LEGAL GUARANTEE

PREPARATION AND DELIVERY

Orders are prepared and dispatched from Valencia, Spain. Preparation times are stated on the relevant product page and are separate from shipping times. Available destinations, delivery estimates and shipping costs are described on the Shipping & Returns page and shown at checkout.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AND RETURNS

Consumers may withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 calendar days from the day the goods are received, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, the customer must send a clear request to info@mariaurquiola.com within that period and return the goods within 14 calendar days after communicating the withdrawal.

Returned items must be in their original condition and securely packed. The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning a standard item unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect. Once the return has been received and inspected, the refund will be made to the original payment method, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered, where legally required.

PERSONALISED PRODUCTS

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised, such as a custom colour or custom dimensions. This exception does not apply merely because a standard product is made to order.

DAMAGED, INCORRECT OR NON-CONFORMING GOODS

If an order arrives damaged or incorrect, the customer should contact info@mariaurquiola.com as soon as possible and, when relevant, provide the order number and photographs of the product and packaging. The request to report transport damage within 48 hours helps us manage courier claims and does not limit statutory consumer rights.

LEGAL GUARANTEE

Consumers are entitled to the legal guarantee applicable under Spanish and European consumer law. For new goods sold in Spain, the legal guarantee period is three years from delivery. Where a product is not in conformity with the contract, the consumer may be entitled, as applicable, to repair or replacement, a price reduction or termination of the contract, without prejudice to any other mandatory rights.
